Number of 4 & 5 Level Hurricanes over the last 100 years
For the next activity, you will research the number of level 4 & 5 hurricanes that have occured over the last 100 years. You will need to do the following to complete this task:
A) Research and locate raw data on what hurricanes have occured over the last 100 years and what level they were catagorized at.
B) Using the websites below as a starting place, once you have determined the best organization to contact for data, you will make a personal contact with someone that may be a resource for you. This contact can be a written letter, an email, or a phone call. You will need to hunt down the contact information from the websites you visit.
C) Next, construct a line graph that shows the number of severe hurricanes that have occured over the last 100 years, in order to visualize the data and determine if there has been an increase, a decrease, or the numbers have remained the about the same.
D) Write a 1-2 paragraph summary of what the data represents--to be included with the graph.
